What does a black rose tattoo mean?

roses are traditional representatives of death......... An alternate meaning is 'slavish devotion' --It can also be: 1) a symbol of anarchism, absolute freedom. Some anarchist writers had black rose tattoos. (see Leo Mallet) 2) a symbol of time passing by and creation, as the black rose does not exist, it is only created. These roses do not last long, it can therefore be seen as a beautiful loser symbol.
