To properly tie a hook knot for fishing, follow these steps:
- Thread the line through the eye of the hook and double it back.
- Twist the doubled line around the standing line 5-7 times.
- Thread the end of the doubled line through the loop near the eye of the hook.
- Moisten the knot and pull it tight.
This knot is called the improved clinch knot and is commonly used for securing hooks to fishing line.
