Independant and dependant veriables

Independent variables are the factors that are manipulated or changed in an experiment to observe their effects on other variables. Dependent variables, on the other hand, are the outcomes or responses that are measured to see how they are influenced by changes in the independent variables. In essence, the independent variable is the cause, while the dependent variable is the effect.
