How much waste does one person make a day?

The amount of biological and/or post-consumer waste a person produces depends on the locale and the individual. For example, a person in a poor nation probably has little money, owns little, and doesn't get food and water on a regular basis, so his/her waste production is very low. On the other hand, people in a richer nation have more money to spend on goods (in economic terms, this is referred to as, somewhat ironically, "disposable income"), owns more than they need, and probably eats and drinks more than they need, so their waste production would be higher. Furthermore, not all locales and countries keep track of such individual or group waste (i.e., not every locale has regular garbage pick-up, if any), so it is virtually impossible to answer this question without being given a specific locale on which to base it on.
