Why has the theme of the hero become an archetype in the humanities?

(Assuming this question arose from the same source):

My answer would be because:

-The hero is reinforced from Parent to Child through stories

-The concept of a Hero is found in almost every Culture

-The hero is carried on today in the form of movie stars and sports figures

Those answer are from the five options given in the context so these answer could be irrelevant if the question isnt off of the test/assignment.
