Why is the boreal forest bigger than the Amazon forest?

The boreal forest, or taiga, is larger than the Amazon rainforest primarily due to its geographic distribution and climatic conditions. In contrast, the Amazon rainforest, while significant in biodiversity, is limited to a specific equatorial region in South America.
