Why does progressivism seem to be looking like a movement to socialistic communisum?

Critics argue that these elements can erode individual liberties and promote a collectivist ideology reminiscent of socialist systems. Additionally, the emphasis on social justice and equity can be interpreted as aligning with more radical leftist ideals.
