It adds to the moment for some people. It's good to communicate what's going on at any time during love making. "You are so good", "I love to hold you tight", simple things to let each other know you're in the same room. Although, some feel like, if it feels good, why waste conversation. Others like to relate to each other like they are walking down the street and speak randomly to each other. Not like "hey I'm thinking about getting something to drink later", but things to make the moment special, like "I'm going to come soon", and mean it.
