Are Bose radios worth the cost?

it really depends on what kind that you are using, but the Bose does have some good ear-buds because of the improved sound and it is pretty comfortable, although Bose ear-buds may not fit everybody, and it may have a bit too much treble, but other than that, it still is pretty good.
