How much is a 5 cent coin from 1829 worth?

The first nickels as we recognize them today weren't minted until 1866.

Before that the only 5-cent coins were tiny silver pieces called half-dimes. If that's what you have, its value as of 09/2008 is in the range of $45 to $120 depending on how worn it is.
