How many times were the nets in the finals?

The Brooklyn Nets have reached the NBA Finals twice, in 2002 and 2003. During these appearances, they were defeated by the Los Angeles Lakers and the San Antonio Spurs, respectively. The team was known as the New Jersey Nets during these finals.
