Who bought Walmart?

As of now, Walmart has not been bought by any entity; it remains a publicly traded company. Founded by Sam Walton in 1962, Walmart has grown to become one of the largest retailers in the world. While there have been various Mergers and Acquisitions in the retail sector, Walmart itself continues to operate independently.
