What is a sentence using gratuitous?

The Word gratuitous has three meanings

1. without cause/Sentence: The boy gratuitously gave the other boy the fish he caught.

2. costing nothing/Sentence: The gratuitous discount offered by the salesman was a nice surprise.

3. unnecessary and unwarranted/Sentence: When John won a game of Scrabble his bragging was a bit gratuitous.
