How do you open the hood on a 85 Corvette if the cable breaks?

sometimes the cable isnt broke it just pulled out of its holder there only made of plastic if thats the case grab the cable with a pair of plyers and give it a good jurk remember theres two cables.. otherwise you need a long a hook about 2 ft long coat hanger mite work start at the middle of the windsheild and work towards the fender run the wire across the rubber seal careful not to rip it and try for the hook on the latch one side then the other it works when I got mine open I tied a thin wire to the latch and stuffed it under the hood near the wipers never have that trouble again
