Will there be a Lego dimensions 2?

As of now, there has been no official announcement regarding a sequel to LEGO Dimensions. The original game, released in 2015, was discontinued in 2017, and while there have been ongoing rumors and fan interest, LEGO has not confirmed any plans for a LEGO Dimensions 2.
