What are the contributions of Charles I?

At the beginning of the reign of Charles I, Britain enjoyed a time of peace. He was a religious man, and some of the vulgar behavior that had previously existed, disappeared upon his ascendency. However, problems with Parliament soon began when he tried to fore religious reforms on the Scottish, and continued until the country erupted in civil war.
