What does anne think about boys?

Anne had been fascinated by boys from an early age - she was known to her schoolmates as the biggest flirt of all the girls. Boys, for their part, were fascinated by Anne because of her vivacity and personality. Also, as another girl remarked, "She was always smiling". However, her diary passages show that she was an utterly normal teen-age girl when it came to how she really felt about boys, wondered about them, puzzled over them and was exasperated by them.
