If you meet someone in a dream can you meet them in real life?

Because dreams take place within the mind of the dreamer and are formed from the experiences, emotions and memories of the dreamer, it is very unlikely that two separate individuals could each be aware of meeting in a single dreamer's thoughts.

A dreamer could dream of meeting a real person, such as a celebrity, or a person seen from a distance, without having met that person in waking life. The other person, though, would not share that dream experience.
