What was the ultimate goal of chef Tecumseh?

Tecumseh (b.1768? - October 5, 1813) was a famous Shawnee Indian leader who lived in the state of Michigan, whose name could more accurately be Tecumtha or Tekamthi, who led a small group of natives against the United States in the Anglo-American War of 1812. [1]

He spent most of his life trying to bring Native American tribes together in a mutual defense of their lands, which consequently culminated in his death in the War of 1812.

Tecumseh remains a respected icon of Native Americans and is considered a national hero in Canada. Even his long-term adversary William Henry Harrison considered Tecumseh to be "one of those rare, brilliant people who appear occasionally to produce revolutions and overthrow the established order of things."
