What was the name of the Japanese suicide missions where a pilot crashed his plane loaded with explosives onto an American ship?

Answer Kamikazi which translates to "Divine Wind". When the Chinese invaded Japan in 15th Century or so, a freak gale blew away the Chinese ships and saved their islands from capture. During WW2, they Japanese were hoping for a divine intervention to save them.
