What would happen if people didnt stop polluting the ocean?

It would eventually just be trashy water with no wildlife living in it, because no plants or underwater life can survive with totally polluted water. There would be no "going to the beach" for summer vacation, or cleaning clothes in the rivers in poorer countries. All the world relies on these water sources, so fresh water may eventually become limited for people. And of course, the only fish would be in aquariums or as pets. Overall, if humans do not stop and fix their pollution mistakes, everyone will suffer in the long run.
