Why do you think Northerner's were still not satisfied?

Northerners were often dissatisfied due to lingering economic disparities, social tensions, and political conflicts following the Civil War. Despite the abolition of slavery, many felt that the South was not being adequately punished for the war or that Reconstruction efforts were insufficient to ensure true equality and civil rights for freedmen. Additionally, economic competition, particularly regarding labor and jobs, fueled resentment and anxiety in Northern communities, leading to a sense of discontent.
