How do you clean a composition doll?

You shouldn't use water, as this will certainly damage the finish or the doll, causing it to crack, or craze (lots of thin, long cracks, that look a bit like a grey Spiders web covering the doll). I've read that acrylic paint in the same colour as the doll can be lightly buffed on to the doll, then wiped off. This will fill in any craze lines, and male them less noticeable. Or try looking on ebay for a good composition doll cleaner. NEVER clean the eyes, or painted areas such as hair, lips or cheeks with ANYTHING other than a very soft cloth, as it may erase the paint. To clean the clothes, as long as they aren't delicate or silk, you can put them in a jam jar with warm water and a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda. Put the lid on and shake it, to create a mini doll washing machine. Its also worth noting to keep your dolls and clothes out of sunlight, as this will craze the dolls and fade the clothes very quickly. Btw, if possible, remove any trims that may change colour whilst washing, due to running dyes. Hope I helped :)
