Where are Christian funerals often held?

I am a Christian, trying to according to The Bible. I go to a church and I am very informed about all of the details of Christianity. Christians do hold funerals. We held a funeral for someone who passed away about a year ago. Our funerals are not so much in admiration of the person who died as they are as to remind others that death is any step and to intrust their lives in God's hands instead of walking without care in this life. This was the message at the last funeral I went to.
