What are fundamental components components of computer?

Motherboards, Power supply unit, CPU, video card, case, and CD drive.

Chassis (Case), Power Supply, Motherboard, CPU, RAM, Hard Drive, Optical Drive, Video Card, Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, and Speakers.

Chassis - This is the box that holds the internal parts

Power Supply - This converts the power from AC power to DC power. Computers run on DC

Motherboard - This is the curcuit board that all other parts connect to inside the PC. most motherboards have more integrated components such as sound, network, and on some, the video card is integrated too.

CPU - Central Processing Unit, or processor. This is usually an Intel or AMD processor. this is the core of the system.

RAM - Random Access Memory. This is where data from the hard drive gets pushed to while it waits to be processed. There's more to it but that's the gist.

Hard Drive - This is the primary storage on a system. On a Windows system your C: drive is the hard drive (typically)

Optical Drive - This is your CD/DVD/Blu-Ray drive.

Video Card - This is the graphics processor of the computer, where the data gets translated into a usable image.
