I know this may sound odd and somewhat unconventional, but marketing on the Web 2.0 (MySpace.com, FaceBook.com, etc.) circuit I think would be an Excellent area to focus on advertising. In other Words social advertising on the web, and no, not buying ad space on the social networks.

In my observance, plastic surgery is a very personal experience and is not as simple as grabbing a product off the shelf. It take education and trust for a person to make a well rounded decision such as plastic surgery.

Creating a social profile and actively interacting with the public with answers and a kind personality can bring in some good clientele as well as help spread Word of mouth drastically in your area.

Purchasing inbound sales leads can be beneficial to your company if you follow a few simple steps such as educating your sales team/secretary to not give out a price quote until they have obtained personal information to send an info packet to them. This practice will give you the chance to give some good pamphlet information and educate them which will give them confidence to be your customer.

Confidence is obviously VERY necessary for the purchase of cosmetic surgery.

In short, educating and engaging the public on your practice in all faucets of contact will ultimately result in clients. Creating and advertising a free white paper "What to Avoid in Cosmetic Surgeons" is a good beneficial way of going about building that confidence. This answer I hope helps get that engine turning on ways to obtain new business. There are many ways to advertise and many ways to use that advertising ... it will be how you use it for niche market that will decide the outcome of the effectiveness. Plan, plan, then attack.
