As asked: (and I think the question may be misleading me)
- A double standard is where two different standards are applied to the same task or object based on some other criteria. EG: Expecting better cooking from a girl but both the boy and girl are asked to make the same thing
- Standard room is usually the inexpensive room at a particular hotel.
- A "double," in motel terminology, means there are two beds in a room.
