Did the anglo-Saxons work

Certainly, the Anglo-Saxons worked, just as the members of every other group, tribe, or people did. Some were farmers, some were hunters, some sailors and some carpenters, bakers, and candlestick makers. Some were judges and some were nobles. Others made shoes or sWords, or mined for minerals, or collected taxes, or ran the jails, etc., etc., etc.
