The layers are:

-The Shrub Layer - 10m (bottom layer- plants that like damp, dark conditions)

-The Under-canopy - 20m Young trees (contains small trees that are ready to shoot up and replace the bigger trees)

-The Canopy- 30m-40m (continuous band of trees that are all fully grown and all the same height).

-Emergents- 50m - (Top layer- Trees that have broken through the canopy)
