Is there evidence of immortality in the bible?

The Bible tells us that God, ONLY, has immortality... and that immortality is what mankind should be seeking.

"...I charge you to keep this command without spot or blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which God will bring about in His own time -- God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, WHO ALONE IS IMMORTALand who lives in unapproachable Light, whom no one has seen or can see. To Him be honor and might forever. Amen." (I Tim.6:13-16 NIV)

As for man:

"...WE WILL BE CHANGED. For this perishable must CLOTHE ITSELF with the IMPERISHABLE, and the MORTAL with IMMORTALITY. When the perishable has been clothed with the IMPERISHABLE, and MORTAL with IMMORTALITY, then the saying that is written WILL [in the future] come true: 'Death is swallowed up in victory.'" (I Cor.15:52-54 NIV)

"...God will give to each person according to what he has done. To those who by persistence in doing good SEEK glory, honor and IMMORTALITY, He will GIVE ETERNAL LIFE." (Rom.2:6-7 NIV)

Contrary to the ancient, as well as modern, popular teachings of the Greek philosophies and the false religions of the world -- man doesn't have an "immortal soul."

According to the Bible, ONLY GOD has immortality. And that immortality is the "gift" He is offering to man.
