Well it Greatly changes the world. For instance, science and technology wasn't always as advanced and super hard as it is now. Science can be 'dumbed down' to research and careful study. When developing the first airplane for instance, the Wright brothers had to make careful study or how air affects things, how it flows, and how objects affected it. They researched aerodynamics and they used this research to develop and airplane [the new technology created from their science and research]

How did this change the world? Air travel!

Computers: The science behind them is an extremely complicated one of electricity and how forcing it through something a certain direction makes a light bulb light up. Edison's research and experimentation on different makes of light bulbs lead him to the discovery of one that worked. After he perfected it, he mass produced it, allowing people to have reusable light sources without having to repeatedly buy candles and oils or sometimes just going without.

How did this change the world? The development and evolution of electrical and computing technology. [Personally I think we should have listened to Tesla, but oh well...]

I hope this helped you out and got you where you were going.
