What are the types of orientations?

Sexual orientation is often reduced to a dichotomy but in truth it is a spectrum of identities that modern sexologists believe to be even more diverse than measurable by the Kinsey scale, part of some of the most pivotal works in understanding human sexuality. The four sexual identities recognized by the Kinsey scale are:-

• Homosexual: Attracted to people of the same sex
• Heterosexual: Attracted to people of the opposite sex
• Bisexual: Attracted to people of either sex
• Asexual: No sexual attraction

Other orientations now recognized include:

• Pansexual = when someone is so to say gender blind. Love is love and gender does not matter, it is almost non existent.
• Polysexual: attracted to multiple sexes
• Questioning
• Objectum sexual = attracted to objects, not people (and not as a sexual fetish but romantically, forming relationships)
