Why did Jesus say do not call anyone father on earth Mt 23 910?

Jesus said this to condemn pride and pretense. It is quite ok to call you dad father. Jesus was speaking of spiritual titles and giving undue spiritual authority to a human being, as if he were the the source of truth rather than God.
