What divides the earth into eastern and western hemiispheres?

The Prime Meridian, which is the imaginary line that runs from the North Pole to the South Pole through Greenwich, England, divides the Earth into Eastern and Western Hemispheres. Locations east of the Prime Meridian are in the Eastern Hemisphere, while locations west of it are in the Western Hemisphere.
