What is the control in an investigation?

The control in an investigation is something that is not changed in an experiment.

Lets say you have and experiment were you are applying sunlight to plants to see how much sunlight affects the plant. The Sunlight will be the VARIABLE (what is changed) and if you are using the same type of plant, The plant would be the CONTROL.
