Addiction is a behavior that could be either inherited or learned.

With that on mind, it might be choice for some people, I personally highly doubt it.

Crack is highly addictive and the feeling it creates cannot be explained in Words, it is an experience in itself.

Most people do it out of boredom or escapism, so the meaning of life might not be a priority or it is non-existent. Other people might do it out of curiOSity. For these people the meaning of life might mean to try anything and everything and experience life in every single aspect.

Either way, the question is moot for you do not need meaning in your life to acquire any kind of experience.
