To create a vertical panel effect in
Photoshop 7, start by creating a new document and filling the background with your desired color or image. Use the Rectangular Marquee Tool to select vertical strips across the canvas, then apply the "Layer via Copy" command (Ctrl+J) to duplicate those selected areas onto new layers. You can then adjust the opacity, apply layer styles, or add a slight blur to each panel for depth. Finally, arrange the layers to create the desired visual effect.
