Absolutly. Whether you have a bite problem (or crowding) braces cause you to have to readjust the way your lips fit over your teeth. So you end up using some different facial muscles. And during treatment the teeth don't fit together the way they use to-- changing the distribution of pressure on your jaws. This causes the jawline to lose alot of its "bulk " and tone. But, for some people it is a verry good change. So, your face definitely changes shape, whether or not that change is good depends on the individual.
