What were the Anglo Texans beliefs?

Anglo Texans, primarily of American descent, held strong beliefs in individualism, personal liberty, and the right to own property, including slaves. They valued democratic governance and often sought to expand their political rights within the Mexican framework. Additionally, many Anglo Texans believed in Manifest Destiny, the idea that it was their divine right to expand westward across North America.
