How do you get rid of downloader.agent.5.E?

I was able to remove this with Security Task Manager - I just downloaded a trial to see what running processes I didn't recognize. AVG found the virus but didn't remove it (I didn't try AVG in safe mode.)

I found this Trojan through AVG, which identified it. I reasoned that I had to stop the processing of the downloader, so I went to the task manager (ctrl-alt-del) to make the program stop. Then I went to the search function and located the program. Once I found the full location of the program, I opened up the folder and physically searched for the program. When I found the executable program, I removed it. I emptied the trash. I re-scanned the system and found that the Trojan was removed.
