What is the price of a bike?

Bikes have a very large price range. Children's bikes can be bought for as little as $50 for a new one, while a low-range adult bike can be bought for as little as $80. These are usually of very low quality (a.k.a. "Walmart" Bikes"). In most cases, to get a good quality bike, it takes around $400. Bikes for competitive cycling typically range from $800-$2000 for the average contender, or $2000-$10,000 (typically carbon fiber) for the enthusiast or competitive cyclist. Professional cyclists sometimes pay substantial amounts ($20,000 or more) for incredible customization and even custom frame geometry.
