Medications can be made from chemicals or natural herbal plants. In cases of ED medications, there are significant differences between a prescription medications and non-prescription supplements. Prescription medications are not simply stronger versions of "natural" supplements.
The challenge when dealing with ED issues is that there are many potential causes: excessive stress, too much alcohol consumption, physical damage to the genitalia, venereal disease, and so on.
If the issue is physical, medical treatment via medication or possibly even surgery might be required.
If the issue is psychological, then any type of medication could be beneficial by virtue of the placebo effect. In other Words, "I think this will help," and therefore, it does help.
If you have ED issues, consult your doctor as well as your local pharmacist and the clerk at your favorite vitamin shop. Then, do your own research, especially before self-prescribing herbal supplements. Just because something is "natural," it does not mean it's safe. Belladonna, nightshade, "death cap" mushrooms and arsenic are "natural," too, and you wouldn't want to take any of them!
Another example: black cohosh -- often recommended for menopausal women -- can elevate blood pressure, which is an important consideration for women who are already on BP meds.
So consult professionals, do your research, and proceed carefully.
