- 84% of spouse abuse victims were females, and 86% of victims of dating partner abuse at were female.
According to the World Health Organization, between 1983 and 2010:
- 1/3 of women around the world are affected by domestic or sexual violence by their partner.
- Almost 40% of women killed were killed by their partners.
