Who owns hotwire?

Hotwire is owned by Expedia, Inc, a public company listed on the NASDAQ Stock Market under ticker symbol EXPE.

Until recently, Hotwire made an effort to distinguish itself from its parent company. Recently, Expedia announced a new service to sell 'unpublished' hotel rooms in the same manner as Hotwire.
