Why is crystal meth illegal?

personally i believe that it is illegal because every time it is made,it releases 5 pounds of toxic whatever into the atmospehere. and its made from household products,such as that drain stuff 4 ur sink

Street meth is illegal, however methamphetamine is prescribed for ADD, ADHD, severe obesity and sometimes but rarely, depression.

It is approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and is prescribed under the name Desoxyn (methamphetamine hydrochloride)
