Will a 1966 VW transaxle fit a 1967 vw?

if its irs with irs you can but if its irs with mormal you cant

Edit: These are what is referred to as "swingaxle" transaxles in both year vehicles. The 1967and 68 has the wider track axles compared to the 1966. You could put in the 66 in the 67 but be aware the difference in track width would move the rear wheels in an inch or so.It is possible of course to switch the axles and axle housings form the 67 to the 66 transaxle.
