What are the side effects of legal steroids?

What are the side effects of LEGAL steroids? The difference between legal and illegal steroids is a prescription. So, if you're taking LEGAL steroids, you're on a really low dose of testosterone, and the side effects will be minimal.

However, you probably want to know the side effects of illegal, anabolic steroids. Believe it or not, there are very few DOCUMENTED adverse health related side effects of taking anabolic steroids. The side effects we are warned about are unproven. There are no actual studies that prove these so called side effects are true. (I must say, there are also no studies that prove the so called side effects are UN true as well.) In short- the answer to your question- we don't know.

However, it certainly does SEEM like we KNOW. Here is an example a typical answer to your question- WBMD (see link 1).

It talks, with certainty and specificity about side effects from hair loss to stroke and heart attack! Then, in the next sentence, after they've preached to us the horrors of steroids with dogmatic assertion, it reads,

"Treatment for abuse of anabolic steroids has not been studied much"

So there are a lot of people suffering symptoms from steroid abuse, and even DYING from steroid abuse, but there's not record of what has and hasn't worked for treatment? Probably not. Most likely, there actually AREN'T very many, if any cases of serious side effect from steroids, which is WHY they don't study the treatment much. (IE- if there's noone to treat, theres no treatment.)
