What makes a gun shoot?

will it starts with the trigger which sets off the fireing pin which than hits the case which than makes the primer blowup which makes the powder go off then the gases given off by the power burning expands and sends the bullet out the barrel.. i might have missed a few but ohwell its just a short story :)
