Typically speaking, 1 shot of liquor = 5 ounces (one serving of wine) = 10 ounces of beer.

The Alcohol By Volume (ABV) varies in beer and wine. Some grocery stores only sell 3.2 ABV beer. Beer in liquor stores range from 3.2 to up to 9 percent ABV.

Most wines are 11 to 14 percent ABV.
