Is the muffler on cavalier 2001 welded or is it held by a rubber piece?

It is held by a rubber bushing and it is held with two bolts behide the cadyallic and it is all one piece back it is costly to replace I would weld a new pipe back with no muffler it is legal but it will be loud but only cost you 40.00 vs. 310.00 Good luck
